stay strong metal-lord! like devastator said - the beauty about being a metalhead is that this is something way more special that jumping on the bandwagon and following trends. dont let anyone bring you down!
to answer the question i help manage an independent record store. we sell all sorts of things such as rap, country, pop, oldies, but of course my specialty is the metal section . i try to bring in harder to find titles or alot of rare bands, but for this town/state it’s just way over most people’s heads. i do have really loyal customers who come in multiple times a week to get new stuff that i recommend. while i’m not hugely into death metal, my favorite customer is this 60 year old guy named perry who comes in every other day and buys death metal usually dropping $60 a pop. he often sells things back and the reason is that “it wasnt brutal enough”. i really love my job although i dont make jack shit doing it. i guess it’s better to love what you do than to be unhappy and dread going to work.
