We are at 156 members. I try daily to bring more people here. I think I got another member today. I would really love to see 200 members soon. I think Kreator deserves 200+ members. I know it is hard but let’s try to get another 44 members here. I know that we can do it… especially with Clansy’s absolutely hilarious jokes that he puts up on the “Webtrash” thread. If you haven’t seen that thread, you are really missing out. Clansy…YOU FUCKING ROCK!!! Thanks much for all of the laughs, you truly make this place a lot better with that thread.

Remember that I’m an old dude that is super friggin horrible with computer lingo (someone taught me what a blog was the other day and I’m still a bit confused). Some dude called be a blogger and I thought he was starting a fight with me. I may be a 39 year old, long haired punk but I can still put a beat down on some brother if I have to. (LMAO). So… someone please explain to me what these bots are. Am I sending PMs to sexy robots? I need to know what web crawlers are too….. Spider robots, maybe. I’m a sexy dude but you guys have got to let me know what is what. Thanks, Hordes!
At first: Web crawlers are bots but not all bots are web crawlers! ;)
Web crawlers are used by search engines (like Google and Yahoo!) to grab (“crawl”) more and more content in order to index it.
For example: You search for “Kreator” via Google and Google will show you all pages where the crawler was able to find that word! ;)
And bots… well there are thousands of different uses for bots. It’s just an umbrella term for automated programs. Most annoying ones (regarding forums) are those which register in order to spread spam.
This can be done by opening threads containing ads and links or just enter crappy shit under the new generated user’s profile. Of course these users aren’t real so it can become really annoying to delete those fake accounts. ;)
