In 1998 this griffin has settled down on my back. During this time, we quite often played fantasy games like AD&D. We still play them, but only once or twice a year now.
The griffin is a Guardian who takes care about treasures - in this case he takes care about me ;-)
This tattoo was done in 2005 and shows our the first cats which lived together with me and my husband. The cat with the blue eyes (Blizzy) died in the same year because of cancer. Her brother Nicodaemus died in 2009. Both meant a lot to me and I will never forget them.
Last year, I got my fifth tattoo. It is placed on my left thigh :-) The music of Kreator guided me through some hard times, especially in 2011 and 2012 and that’s why there was no other choice for me than choose this one ;-)
A very interesting story behind this tattoo: My tattoo artist is always very busy, so I had to fix the dates for the tattoos 5 to 6 month before. The first session was planned for Aug. 29th. A few month before, Kreator announced to release Dying alive on Aug. 30th and the premiere in Essen for Aug. 29th (SAME DAY as my first session !!!!)
So I have had my first session and drove to the premiere a few hours later and was able to show it to them directly (although it wasn’t ready - it was GREAT !).
I think, I wasn’t more nervous ever in my whole life (except of my wedding day ;-)
This was my last tattoo until today. Of course I have some more ideas in my mind, but there is enough time to continue later on ...
I think its cool that you and your husband has the same tattoo…to be honest, i like all your tattoos!
I think its great that the tattoos you have have a meaning behind them!
Some people just tattoo some weird-ass shit here and there and dont know what they stand for when they really start to think about it :D
Hope your next tattoo turns out as good as the other!! ;)
Nicole, please let me stay silent here, because the last thing I want is to argue with you … By themselves, all your tattoos are beautiful, but I just don’t like this type of body art or this way of self-expression.
Sorry if I ruined your mood, but I prefer to be honest with you.
50 cats - this is really a lot, but I believe it. We have 8 cats right now.
Maybe you would like to visit our HP: http://www.ragdolls-of-dryads-wood.de.
It is only in German but contains a lot of pics of our darlings.
BTW, I would like to see a picture of Bambi as well :-)
