Since I was listening to the Cranberries last time and this is still up, I’m replying again. I’m listening to two of my favorite songs by Sodom, “City of God” and I’m following that up with a Sodom classic and my favorite song by Sodom, “Magic Dragon”. I’m an American but German thrash is still the best. I do listen to some “mainstream music”, but very little at all. I don’t get into “core” bands whatsoever although I try not to be closed minded. I’m not one of those junkies that call you queer because you think Metallica is the best thrash band ever. Metallica just isn’t thrash, that’s all. Here is the states, we have Slayer…Slayer can’t compete with Kreator.
I have always been a huge Cranberries fan but lately I have been listening to a lot of Janis Joplin. Her birthday passed a few weeks ago and I like to pay tribute to her if I can. When it comes to metal, I have been listening to a lot of Vektor and Brazilian band called Violator. I do still listen to about 2 hours of Kreator daily because they will always be the masters in my book.
Does anyone know if Violent Evolution (book) has been translated into English yet? I’m glad Kreator’s songs are in English or I may have had a different favorite band over the last 25 years.
Since Kreator or every good metal is not music,just beyond this,I listen music sometimes,too.

No mate,I’m just sayin’ Kreator is beyond fucking music,you know the song stairway to heaven is just music,with good feelings maybe peace it’s just kind of art,but you can’t say this for Kreator because it’s beyond this,it’s art,it’s antidepressant,it’s sedative,it’s fucking philosophy,it’s fucking religion,it’s fucking worship,dude I can’t make a list that describes what Kreator are making,because they are just beyond the world,beyond that universe,beyond God,beyond me,beyond that fucking language!

i get what you’re saying - some bands for me are just so over the top that it cant simply just be described as “music”. it’s so much farther than that in terms of emotion and creativity. bands for me that do this are kreator, new model army, pearl jam, patti smith, voivod, and celtic frost. no words could ever describe how intense listening to this is for me.
