I don’t count it as a “masterpiece” either. I loved the “Sami is new and awesome” concept, but each album has grown since then in my opinion. I can’t say too much about Phantom Antichrist yet. It is just too early. I do think that Enemy of God topped Violent Revolution and Hordes of Chaos topped Enemy of God. In a few months though, I have this feeling that I will look at all 4 of the “Sami” albums as just the “new Kreator”... and treat them all as if they are part of one movement. I have always been a Kreator freak but these last 4 albums total have really shown that Kreator are the innovators of metal. Of course I am biased but I see no bands even close to Kreator nowadays. I do like other metal but I really have to say that these last 4 albums have put Kreator in a class by themselves. I don’t look at Kreator as a band that plays “classic thrash”. I see them as the band that said, “Look at this”...“Now, can anyone else do this like we have?” These last 4 albums have made me proud to have kept my Flag of Hate flying for so long. Thanks to the band. Great work.
I wasn’t sure which thread I should post this, but I got the Taiwan version of “Phantom Antichrist” from a friend there. :-) That’s 2 CD version and the bonas one is Live at Wacken 2011 and 2008.

Hate to buck the trend, but ive listened a few times now and its not really doing it for me. Doesnt detract from how much I love the band, and always will. Just not my cup of tea this time. The title track is superb tho i must say!
A couple of songs are growing on me now. And theres a few good riffs.
I think its just the duel lead guitars and “epic” approach thats not doing it for me. I like it when they get down and thrash. The lyrical topics and approach I think i’m done with now too.
Im sure im rapidly becoming the most hated forum member now lol.
I like both sides of KREATOR. I like when they just play brutal thrash metal (like the first albums) or when they play melodic thrash metal (like what they’re doing since Sami’s here). The last album is my favorite one, with Enemy of God. So, as you can see: we’ll never agree :D

Same here. They have always been badass
I like every album and every song.
I like EVERY song as well. I’m an idiot though. It is cool though, Timmy… that I’m not alone. I’m not saying that you are an idiot. I was just speaking of you liking “every song”.
It isn’t often that a band can put out great music over so many years. If Kreator was a “mainstream” band, they may be being compared to the Rolling Stones, maybe, right? The new album, to me, has no songs that really stand above the rest. All of the songs are equally cool in their own way with Kreator still keeping the brutality intact. They are my favorite band for a reason. That reason is that they are THE BEST.
