Chicago has actually built up quite a solid local scene. I don’t mean this as an attack on you, but I think people don’t give the U.S. scene enough credit. We may not match the size of the European crowds or the energy of South America but I’d say we have a pretty strong fanbase considering.
this is true - i think in recent years there have been more and more bands starting to come back to the USA which is cool. maybe i’m more just thinking of how every day in europe i got to see some rad underground thrash band, and here i will never have the chance to see any of them. i’m not complaining about what’s here because i’m lucky to be near chicago where most bands stop - i’d just prefer to be living in europe again. i miss it there a lot :(

Nah…trust me…german beers are way overrated! They’re not bad,don’t get me wrong,but czech beers are much better. The only problem is that usually not many people knows about them,so the majority thinks germans are the best,but the real experts knows that’s not true.

Cool. I like Germany too. If you make it to Stockholm sometime I can show you around and you and your bf can stay here for a couple of nights if you wish. That way you save some money on hotels.
