Here is the cover artwork of the limited edition of our upcoming album, “PHANTOM ANTICHRIST”. The limited edition will be made available as two-disc digipack, including a bonus DVD.

Miland Petrozza: “Jan Meininghaus, who did this one, is a cover artist from my hometown, Essen, Germany. I really love the artwork he came up with for the limited edition. It’s pure mayhem, powerful and dark!”

“PHANTOM ANTICHRIST” will be released on June 1 in Europe and June 5 in North America via Nuclear Blast EUROPE. The CD was recorded at Fascination Street Studios in Örebro, Sweden with renowned producer Jens Bogren.

Got to admit, the whole old school devil/horror/beasts type artwork isnt really my bag, especially these days now im older!, but as a piece of art though this is really good, and has a lot of atmosphere to it.

i’m really glad to see something completely different. hordes of chaos and enemy of god were way too similar as far as the art goes. i’ll always be a sucker for the look of oldschool paintings! (even though this very well is probably digital) great work!

i’m really glad to see something completely different. hordes of chaos and enemy of god were way too similar as far as the art goes. i’ll always be a sucker for the look of oldschool paintings! (even though this very well is probably digital) great work!

As cool as I thought the covers were I’m glad they decided to stray away from that. Coma of Souls, Violent Revolution, Enemy of God, and Hordes of Chaos were all a bit too similar for me.

I can’t decide if I like the original work or limited edition art better. Both of them are awesome.

Looks like I will stick with the unlimited version. I think this “artist” should stick to drawing unicorns and impress 12-year old goth chicks. Comparing this to the original artwork is insulting.

I always wondered: Is it hard to get a certain copy of a CD in Japan? So if you would like to buy a copy of the Japanese limited edition of Enemy Of God - is it hard in Japan to get a copy?
I wonder because those editions always become really expensive on international ebay. Looks like those CDs aren’t that easy to get in Japan, too.

What do you mean by “a certain copy”?  I always buy the physical CDs released officially from the labels. ;-)  I have the limited edition of “Enemy of God” of course.  It was 3500 yen (more than 32 euro).  Japanese CDs are pretty expensive especially when it’s limited one, you know.  I found just one on Amazon, but it will be gone soon.  The label at that time don’t sell metal CDs anymore.

Wow….You really see it as that bad? I think it mixes some old with some new and is rather refreshing as far as your Kreator looming over doomsday with nakedness goes.

I like naked chicks,so I’d say amen to this version,but I gotta admit that lately I don’t care too much about cover art. Just putting my 2 cents down… :-)
