i think the band lost more agressive and heavy sound with Sami, no words he is very great guitarist but not for Kreator

This has become one of my all-time fave Kreator songs. Not only from a musical standpoint, but also from a lyrical one. The more I listen to it, the more I wonder about the meaning of the song’s lyrics, especially in the softer bridge where he sings:

Muses of the lower world
Sing for pain I once endured
Mantic wisdom finding the
Mystery divine

There’s something hugely epic and existential about those lines, and they invoke an almost spiritual atmosphere. Does anyone have any info or thoughts about the deeper meaning behind those lyrics?

Most Underrated Album.

Inspired by the thread on the most underrated / unappreciated Kreator songs, I thought I’d start one regarding their most underrated album.

My own candidate is Terrible Certainty which was overshadowed by Pleasure to Kill before it, and Extreme Aggression & Coma of Souls, after it. Yet with thrash classics like ‘Blind Faith’ and ‘Toxic Trace’, not to mention the title track, it strikes me as one of their best albums.

Kreator Management contact / Mille Petrozza Interview

I’m a Junguian psychologist from Brazil, planning to publish a book about the “demonic” symbolism of 10 classic Heavy Metal records, using Carl Gustav Jung concepts such as archetypes and the collective unconscious. One of the covers I plan to analyze is from Kreator’s “Pleasure to Kill” record. Could someone by any chance give me the band’s contact information / e-mail? My plan is to send a 10-question interview to Mille Petrozza, asking:

1) What was the importance of “Pleasure to Kill” in Kreator’s carrer;
2) The relation between the lyrics and the album’s cover;
3) His personal impressions of Philip Lawvere’s artwork.

This interview would greatly help my research…

Hey guys - Besides music forums I go to a lot of Makeup ones :PP And sometimes on there we do RAOK (random act of kindness) give-aways. If we have brand new Makeup we give them away to the first person that answers a question correctly or that responds quickest etc

Phantom Antichrist was voted best album 2012 in the Russian e-zine KM.RU

Apocalypse was a most popular topic in 2012 year. The most artists used it in your oeuvre. But nobody could tell about it so earnestly as Kreator. Not because Apocalypse can come someday, but because Apocalypse - it’s our real life, this is what takes place in this world now.
Our e-zine thinks that Phantom Antichrist - best release 2012 year.
‘Phantom Antichrist’ doesn’t contain excessive pathetic or affected pathos. The thrash guitar riffs sound as logical continuation of verbal phrases leaving after each of them weighty aftertaste. At the same time this album is one of the most melodic ones (along with ‘Endorama’) in the whole KREATOR’s discography. This melodies are like the eyes of the good friend in which you can see the wisdom of centuries behind the blaze of steel. It is quite difficult to wave aside from such things. How it was written by one of the reviewers: “The mankind voluntarily will go to the Giant Cemetery of History if it will be accompanied with ‘Death To The World’ - you will not need any overlooker with whip!”. ‘Phantom Antichrist’ may be considered as one of the most interesting KREATOR releases in the last years. Initially you may be confused by sharp musical patterns and passages, and bewildered with nontrivial guitar solos. But this is the way how their music interlaces with their lyrics.
