If I wanted to keep this fight going I would answer: “No, I barely consider Metallica thrash.” but maybe it is enough jokes about a very serious subject. ;-)

Hahaha. ;)

My first album (vinyl) I bought myself was “Rebel Yell” by Billy Idol!  I was 12 or 13.  The first CD was “Pyromania” by Def Leppard btw. ;p

Whoa, you’re WAY out of line calling Pantera Nu metal. That’s just ridiculous even if it’s meant as a joke.

I just can’t leave it without writing anything,I also think that is not a good explanation for Pantera, you can call them as Groove or Heavy Metal or just rock or few punk American bastards, but not like that.Yes,Philip Anselmo may have used some fast singing techniques,or whatever you call them but that was just all.And for their later albums, you can’t see that vocal type which Anselmo used in Primal Concrete Sledge,No Good(Attack the Radical) and some other songs.Yes I agree with that they were really punk but they never did that Nu metal shit…

The first record I owned was Van Halen II

[[/quote

Now that I think about it, my Dad had bought me 3 used records with that used turntable he bought for me. The other 2 were Def Leppard’s Pyromania and Steely Dan’s Aja. I can’t believe I forgot that. I know that I’m just turning 39 years old but damn. My memory is already failing me. At least I’m not going to go bald anytime soon, it seems.

My first Kreator album was the same as yours!  And R.I.P. Mark Reale…  I’m still so sad that he passed away.

My first own album must’ve been 13 by the German Punk Rock band “Die Ärzte” in 1998.

The first album that I actually bought… well. I can’t remember. :(
I remember that I seriously started collecting records back in 2002. Need to do some research here… :D

first single pink floyd single another brick in the wall,

first album don’t know probably one of these, double issue o judas priests first 2 albums, maidens number of the beast, accepts restless and wild,

first kreator album extreme aggression although was trading tapes at that time so first album i got that way was pleasure to kill, remember someone in germany sending me destructions first album i loved it. sent him a letter telling how much i loved it. few weeks later i received a tape of pleasure to kill without telling me the name of the album who it was or the songs just a note saying if you like destruction check this shit out.

needles to say he got a letter begging for more details. those were the days
